While there are many vets in Bozeman, 101 PAWS Veterinary Center takes a unique approach to animal wellness. We believe every pet should be cared for in an individualized and customized manner.

As every Montana veterinarian knows, the diversity of our community allows for different experiences and styles of living for our pets, and this impacts the care they may need. Ranch dogs and barn cats may have different health needs and issues than household pets.

No matter the lifestyle, our main goal as your veterinarian in Bozeman is to not only maintain your pet’s health and prevent illness, but to also create treatment plans that both you and your pet are comfortable with.

We recommend regular annual or semi-annual wellness exams to give us the information we need to keep your pet healthy.

A dog or cat wellness visit includes the following:

  • A complete physical exam during which all body systems are evaluated: heart, lungs, eyes, ears, nervous system, lymph nodes, skin and coat, oral health, and musculoskeletal system.

  • Weight and vitals check

  • Vaccinations if any are due

  • Fecal testing for intestinal parasites

  • Deworming

  • Heartworm testing and preventative

  • Bloodwork and urinalysis if recommended based on your pet’s age and health history

  • Nail trim

  • Nutritional and behavioral counseling as needed (Check out our blog post on this topic HERE!)
